Change the 26th of March to National NHS Day

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The NHS has never been given enough praise, this one little change would just go to show them we care for them
It should be done to show how thankful we are for all that they do. Although we can never repay them for the services they have provided us with all our life

THANK YOU NHS

(Especially during the covid-19 pandemic)

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We understand that you want the Government to do something to acknowledge the role of the NHS, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do. The Government is not responsible for designating "national days".

We have started a petition calling on the Government to create a new Bank Holiday in recognition of the NHS and all its amazing workers, which you might like to sign: Create a new Bank Holiday in recognition of the NHS and all its amazing workers.

We have also started a petition calling on the Government to award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces, which you might like to sign: Award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces
