Post Corona prioritise pay rises and further funding for NHS and teaching

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Given the amazing effort of our NHS staff and the value we all now realise they and our teaching infrastructure do for our society, and the way we lean on them most heavily during crisis, please, please let's pay and fund them appropriately once the virus has passed. It's more important than HS2
Because the NHS saved this country during crisis, and we all now realise the equally great work teachers do, when we had to try and do it ourselves. Let's reward and value these pillars of our society by funding above and beyond minimum and make sure they are paid appropriately. No more pay freezes for 10 years in these areas.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

We think these petitions are similar:

Increase salary for school teachers.
Increase pay for NHS healthcare workers and recognise their work
Ensure continued Universal health cover by legally committing to a minimum spend

You could start a new petition calling for increased education funding, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
