What the petition asks

Introduce a grant of £1000.00 per person, per month for the next 3 months, disregarding income or age. This covers the entire population through this crises.

Scrap the new policies for the COVID-19 pandemic:
Job retention scheme
Self Employment aid
and replace it with this new grant.

The UK government has set out a £350Bn fund to be distributed in
loans, grants and financial aid.
Unfortunately company directors and shareholders receiving a dividend have seen little protection in this crises.

The UK population is around 70 million, as opposed to distributing the allocated funds in various different ways, give a £1000.00 cash grant to each citizen regardless of circumstances, this would save the government around £140Bn in expenditure leaving them room to loan out the rest.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
