Give all Covid-19 frontline workers a well deserved pay rise.

What the petition asks
give all those in the NHS and local government ran care homes a well deserved pay rise. They continue to put themselves selflessly at the forefront of this pandemic working tirelessly to make sure people are cared for. They deserve to be rewarded once this crisis is over.
The government have the power to implement these pay rises. They should also suggest private companies give pay rises to their staff too. I understand this may not be something that can be done straight away as the country is helping others financially at present, but it should be something that is done soon and the support these carers have given should not be forgotten.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government funds most public sector salaries, and is involved in setting the salaries of some of some public sector workers, but is not responsible for setting the pay of many keyworkers.
