Provide an increase On all key workers pay during the covid-19 outbreak

What the petition asks
Provide an increase for those risking their lives on the frontline and all keyworkers during the covid-19 outbreak.
Many of of these people have families and children and can’t simply stay home and keep safe. They also do not get the option to self quarantine should they wish or the option to work from home.
They are some of the lowered payed jobs and some of these key workers work harder than any other sometimes taking on more than one job role and in these times much more of a risk.
Not to mention with the hours being decreased this cuts into their monthly pay as some work evenings etc.
Nurses
Carers
Retails workers
Cleaners
Delivery drivers
And so on, without these people, we would not be able to function and to show appreciation and support a pay rise would be a good start.
Do the right thing by them and acknowledge them.

Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
The Government is not responsible for setting the salary of most key workers, or setting minimum wages for particular sectors, but you may wish to sign petitions calling for the following actions:
