Tenants to pay 80% of their rent, while they are getting 80% of their salary.

What the petition asks
Government should recommend landlords to agree of receiving 80% of the total amount from tenants, as long as they are getting 80% of their salary.
We believe that during those challenging times, every single person should help to get through this pandemic. We believe that landlords should recognise the effort that Government is doing to support workers and businesses, and they should agree of getting the 80% of the rent while tenants is getting 80% of their salary.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Suspending payments for rent, council tax, mortgages and utilities is a matter for individual landlords, councils, mortgage providers and utility providers, and not the UK Government or Parliament.
