Freeze monthly bill payments for people incomes were affected

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Obligate all landlords and credit institutions to freeze monthly repayments for people whose incomes were affected due COVID-19
Many people now suffer from a lack of income due to a pandemic, but most credit institutions and private landlords do not care and still want payments on time.
The adoption of this credit vacation amendment would help millions of people whose incomes have been affected by the pandemic and the need for self-isolation

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Suspending payments for rent, council tax, mortgages and utilities is a matter for individual landlords, councils, mortgage providers and utility providers, and not the UK Government or Parliament.
