Increase pay for Care/Support Staff & For them to have access to wider training
Rejected

What the petition asks
Care/Support Staff have never been paid enough for what they do. They never get recognition. They also don’t have much access to broadening their knowledge, qualifications etc.
I want the Government/Parliament to do it as these people are just as important as any other Healthcare Worker & what they do is amazing.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you want the Government to provide support for care and support staff, but it's not clear exactly what you want to happen, or that this would be the responsibility of the Government or Parliament.
The Government is not responsible for the salaries or training of privately employed care or support staff.
We have published a petition calling on the Government to consider social care as equally important to NHS, which you might like to sign: We would like the government to consider social care as equally important to NHS
If there is some other action you would like the Government to take, you could start a new petition calling for this, but this would need to request a clear action which the Government is responsible for.
