Abolish NHS Nurse & Midwives annual NMC registration £120 fee !

What the petition asks
Stop charging nurses and midwives an annual registration fee to do their jobs !
Nurses and Midwives are asked to register on the Nursing & Midwifery Council register and pay £120 to practice their jobs every year. It was previously only £75 a few years ago and the fee has increased significantly whilst their wages has not. If they do not register they cannot work. Nurses wages are low in comparison to equally skilled jobs, this fee is unfair and not necessary it should be abolished.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The level of registrations fees are a matter for independent regulators such as the General Medical Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council, and not the Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition calling on the Government to fund health regulators directly, so they do not need to charge a registration fee.
