To award the National Health Service the George Cross.

What the petition asks
Whilst many NHS individuals have already shown extreme courage and fortitude throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole NHS deserves the ultimate recognition and the collective award of the George Cross. )
Once the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided there will be a period of reflection and I feel the collective award of the highest civil honour will remind both this generation and others that follow that the NHS made a huge sacrifice and lost a number of their staff, who refused to stop treating patients, despite the known dangers.
