EXTEND GOVERNMENT CORONAVIRUS CASH GRANTS TO ALL RETAIL

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We want the government to extend the coronavirus cash grants to ALL retail/hospitality/leisure who have been instructed to close their businesses during the coronavirus crisis.
ALL retail in the country has had to close. Certain businesses, such as fashion retail, will be left with stock that will have to be drastically discounted or simply written off when we reopen. Using the imperfect ratings system as a way of deciding who should and shouldn't receive a cash grant makes no sense. In London, business rates are far higher than elsewhere in the country so many very small businesses in the capital have rateable values over £51k and need the same help given elsewhere

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
