What the petition asks

For any NHS worker in the UK on a visa and who has worked for the NHS for three years, the government should (1) shorten the period for naturalisation to not more than three years continuous residence; (2) provide a 'priority channel' for applications; and (3) waive any and all fees.

In this time of crisis, we rely are relying on our NHS staff in a way we have never done before in the modern era. So many of our staff come from abroad, and we are lucky to have them. They should get to stay, with an expedited and cheaper route to citizenship. It is the least we can do for them, as the put their health and lives on the line for us.

Why it was rejected
