Create a new bank holiday dedicated to NHS staff.

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Once the country has beaten COVID-19, we should create a new Bank Holiday to thank those that have put their health and lives on the line for us. This should be in addition to the current bank holidays and held every year, to remember their sacrifice and the national effort.
The country owes a debt to all NHS staff. This has always been true but now more than ever. The crisis has demonstrated that for many work holds a lower priority than once thought, and we should remember those whose roles we take for granted but are essential to our way of life.
