Limit IT offshoring

What the petition asks
Please review the rules that allows IT work from UK to be off-shored or consultants being brought to the UK.
The need for offshore consultants to fill the gap in the UK as UK businesses considers their skills are rare and unavailable in the UK market. But in reality it is NOT the case, offshore consultants are coming to the UK as specialists but they are doing non-specialist jobs for example manual testing roles.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you want the Government to protect the employment interests of UK IT staff, but it's not clear what action you want the Government to take achieve this.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to require employers to recruit UK workers where possible, if that is what you want to happen.
If there is a particular rule you want the Government to change, you could start a new petition stating clearly what change you want the Government to make.
