What the petition asks
We will appreciate if you put our views and concerns forward to the parliament on our behalf so that any overtime hours done above the normal directive hours (37.5hrs) to be tax free during this period (COVID-19)
In the light of COVID-19 global crises. Health professionals are committed to go extra miles to ensure NHS have the extra capacity to continue to provide care to patients in a safe environment. However, staff and other retired healthcare workers persuaded to work are worried on the tax implication this would have on their income. The next couple of months will be extremely challenging for all NHS services with regards to current staffing level and this is anticipated
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
The Government is not responsible for setting the salary of most key workers, or setting minimum wages for particular sectors, but you may wish to sign petitions calling for the following actions:
