Home expenses should also be reduced by 80% (rent, council tax, utility bills)

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

All the home expenses should be reduced to following the government rules (rent, council tax, utility bills, broadband etc)

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Reducing or suspending payments for rent, council tax, mortgages and utilities is a matter for individual landlords, councils, mortgage providers and utility providers, and not the UK Government or Parliament.

If you want the Government to encourage lenders, landlords and utilities to freeze payments during lockdown, you may wish to sign this petition: Encourage lenders, landlords and utilities to freeze payments during lockdown
