What the petition asks
No tuition fees to be paid for the final instalment of academic fees/a refund to those who have paid in full
An alternative form of assessment as opposed to the traditional post-graduate dissertation
An alternative form of assessment as opposed to the traditional post-graduate dissertation
Online teaching quality is poor and access to learning resources are limited due to social distancing measures and the lockdown. We are not getting what we are paying for, nobody agreed to paying for an online taught degree. We are unable to complete our dissertations to a high standard due to limitations on research methods and lack of resources and access to university libraries. Continuing to study as normal in non-academic settings is detrimental to mental health and academic performance
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions on dissertations and coursework are a matter for individual institutions.
