What the petition asks
For the service's provided by the NHS staff it simply isn't enough to clap once a week, we need to do more and honour their courageous efforts and their services to the comunities across the UK, especially during Covid-19 pandemic.
The Government already recognises the efforts of the NHS, they need to go further and honour them all.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept your petition because it asks for someone to be nominated for an honour.
Members of the public can nominate people for honours directly, although it is not possible to nominate a group or organisation for an honour. You can find out how to nominate someone for an honour here: https://www.gov.uk/honours
We have accepted petitions calling for the Government to award people working in essential occupations medals, which you might like to sign.
If you want the Government to award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces, you may wish to sign this petition: Award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces
If you want the Government to create a medal to honour the fortitude of people working in essential occupations, you may wish to sign this petition: A medal to honour the fortitude of people working in essential occupations
