Raise pay for low paid NHS and public sector workers in response to Covid 19.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

To increase basic pay in recognition of the sacrifice given, and the underlying value, of those who care for each one of us when all of society is at its most vulnerable. I want government to end the disparity between the service provided by public sector workers and their financial reward.
I feel that at this time of unprecedented crisis, we have seen in sharp focus that those on the lowest incomes provide the basic fundamental services required to maintain our quality of life. We see now the true value of their commitment, sacrifice and role in our existence. Their contribution to life in this country is inadequately rewarded and their incomes from the Treasury should in fact reflect their value and our gratitude.
