What the petition asks
Our heroic FRONTLINE staff need a hazard pay subsidy during any national emergency! This needs to be paid from the moment emergency laws are enacted until all risk to life has lessened!
It’s the least we can do for all that have actually gone to work to keep our nation safe & running!

Every Thursday since the Corona Virus lockdown NHS staff have been rightly clapped for by the public to show appreciation for their heroic efforts and I feel the government needs to do more for all frontline staff putting their own health and wellbeing ahead of the public! Some staff have died! I feel such guilt that I’m unable to be in the frontline help my mental health NHS colleagues fight the effects of this disease! I know I can help from home but some people are risking life and limb!
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
The Government is not responsible for setting the salary of most key workers, or setting minimum wages for particular sectors, but you may wish to sign petitions calling for the following actions:
