What the petition asks
Nursery to stop charging and government funded hours to go towards more hours in September!!
we are getting into more debt and these company’s are expecting us to pay 100s out of the odds, putting us in more debt when we legally are not allowed to send our children how is that our fault but we still have to pay, The government funded hours should be put towards more hours in September so that allows people to recover, Childminders and nursery’s should not be allowed to do this it’s immoral and to be honest a breach of contract as it not our fault our children are not allowed to attend, When this is over we have a lot of mums that will be suffering with mental health, debt, job loss and maybe even bereavement they will need time to heal and re piece there life
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The refund of nursery fees for any period of closure is a matter for individual nurseries, not the Government or Parliament.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to set up a fund to reimburse people who have lost money because of the closure of nurseries due to the coronavirus outbreak.
