What the petition asks

We have asked the lowest paid in society to take the highest risk. Each day they go to the frontline or multiple homes to keep communities safe. These people are NHS staff, first responders, care workers, concierges, shop assistants, warehouse staff etc, paid the Minimum Wage or London Living Wage.

Now we are losing NHS and transport workers, indicating that potentially, the more exposure you have to the airborne coronavirus the more ‘at risk’ you are of contracting Covid-19, particularly if you live in poor socio-economic conditions.

Please provide tests, PPE and pay to ALL key workers because every life is important. This must not happen to others in transport, care or retail sectors.

The average key worker remuneration in 2018 was £19,000 and I think we can do better than that!

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
