Covid 19 discharge testing for all patients being discharged back to care homes
Rejected

What the petition asks
Care homes have the right to know if patients that they are admitting have a positive or negative Covid 19 test. We want mandatory testing nationwide so that a Covid status is known when discharging a patient from hospital into a care home.
We are a national care consultancy supporting over 600 care services and have been hearing, via our support line, numerous accounts of the mounting pressure on care homes to accept positive covid patients back into the care home. At a minimum we want there to be a mandatory Covid test on discharge so that a care home can take an informed decision about whether it is safe to admit the patient into the care home. Our aim is to keep the patient, other residnets and staff as safe as possible.
