Award a medal to all front line essential workers (incl. registered Volunteers)

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

After the Covid19 pandemic, cast and award a special medal to those who have been at the front line of medical and other essential services (including registered volunteers of charities). Also to include front line supermarket, postal, refuse, care home workers, public transport and delivery workers
We formerly issued medals to recognise those who fought for our country through two world wars and other military conflicts. This Covid 19 pandemic is the greatest threat to the UK since WW2 and people have literally put their lives 'on the line' (and some have lost their lives) to fight this virus and to maintain essential medical and other services. These people deserve some formal recognition.
