Protect Bumblebees and support increased bumblebee numbers
Closed
215 signatures
What the petition asks
Help to save the diminishing habitats of bees from development and climate change by making bumblebees a protected species under UK law, banning harmful pesticides that kill bees, and providing funding to boost bee numbers across the country.
As one of the greatest pollinators, bees are essential in keeping the environment healthy and play a vital role in securing stable food supply.
Without bees, millions of plants could die and the UK could fall further from meeting its environmental targets.
Action must be taken now to save this magnificent species from potential extinction on UK soil.
