What the petition asks
We the people would like parlaiment mps and members to cut their bonuses and expenses to be able to increase the wages of all NHS staff. It is abhorrent to us all the amount of bonuses and expenditure a lot of mps are getting.
It is well documented and reported that some mps are abusing their expenses and these finances could be used elsewhere.
While NHS staff have seen no rise in pay but yet incredible amounts of cuts made, and mps salaries have increased since 2010 almost 17% it is a disgrace to the tax payer and the NHS staff.
The Government have continuously made cuts to services while increasing their own wages and bonuses.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. MPs don't receive bonuses, but the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
