What the petition asks
The country has seen the introduction of powers and restrictions that have effected public freedoms and liberties. The former Supreme Court Justice, has recently been quoted that the UK is at serious risk of becoming a police state and we must question is the cure worse than the disease?
Explain to the law-abiding citizens of the UK why current laws were needed to be changed and replaced with excessive powers to be in place for the next 2 years following COVID-19 no longer considered to be (HCID). Apart from the irreversible damage these measures are having on our economy, changes to the Mental Health Act is just one example of how our most vulnerable and others could potentially be at risk of mistreatment.The people need to have a say on the future of the country going forward.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
