During the COVID-19 crisis Captain Tom Moore, at the age of 99, took it upon himself to raise funds for the NHS.

Cpt. Moore set a modest target but captured the UK's heart.
Captain Tom Moore's 100th Birthday Walk for the NHS is on course to raise over £5m for the NHS during the COVID-19 crisis.
Given his efforts during this campaign I feel it would be a fitting gesture from the Government to promote his rank to Major in recognition of he achievement. Thank you.
