What the petition asks
Ban the selling and use of sky lanterns
They are a hazard to humans and animals. The float off with no control over where they land, meaning they can cause fires to farmland, homes and property. If they go out over the sea, they then become a hazard to marine life and add the the already mounting pollution of our seas and oceans.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
