What the petition asks

Scrap the expenses package which will cost the taxpayer £6.5 million.

NHS and frontline workers are the people who are at most risk in the fight against Covid-19 and these people are not being financially recognised by MP’s. MP’s can already work in the safety of their home without the need for this expense package. £6.5 million of taxpayers money would be better used elsewhere. I’m sure MP’s could sacrifice £10,000 when they already have a safe job, which is well paid too. It would be a disgrace to the frontline key workers if MP’s took this money.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
