A knighthood recommendation for Capt Tom Moore
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Capt Tom Moores challenge is huge for him, but this is not the reason for a knighthood, nor is the now millions of needed funding for the NHS, but more for how through a simple gesture he is bringing the nation together. This is the second time he has answered his countries call.
I would like for the Government and Parliament, firstly to mention in the House as soon as you reassemble Capt Moore and his amazing efforts and to petition the queen for her consideration in awarding Capt Moore for services to the NHS and the country for the second time in its hour of need.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
