Petition · past parliament

Make the 1st Thursday after lockdown a national NHS day & a yearly event.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I want parliament and the government to recognise the valued service the NHS provided during the COVID-19 global pandemic. My Auntie is a frontline NHS nurse currently working at the LGI in the high dependency unit and my dad is currently installing pipework in a hospital, providing medical gas.
I feel it's important that key workers and carers are recognised in situations like the COVID-19 pandemic and how everyone pulled together in times of need. I believe that this should be a yearly recognised day to celebrate these unsung heroes that helped the nation through these difficult times.
