Give a knighthood to war veteran Tom Moore
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Tom Moore a 99 year old war veteran wanted to raise £1000 for the NHS by walking 100 lengths of his 25metre garden. Within 36 hours he has raised £8 Million. This is someone, who having served his country, applies that fighting spirit at 99 years young, in supporting OUR National Health Service.
Because someone like this deserves credit and recognition, and subsequently the UK government carries more weight than the general public.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
