Grant for Businesses over £51,000 Rateable Value
Rejected

What the petition asks
To provide grants also to businesses with rateable value of more than £51,000
In these unprecedented times with the closure of many businesses it seems very unfair that businesses with rateable values of more than £51,000 did not qualify for these grants. Many businesses are in much need of these grants. They have contributed as much if not more to the economy and are now been penalised. Supermarkets for example are having a boom in these times and they have had a windfall from getting exemptions from not paying business rates for a year which seems bizarre. That money could have been re allocated to the more in need.
