Queen's Honours for Captain Tom Moore

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Captain Tom Moore went above and beyond serving in the Army, and fighting in WW2. But at the age of 99, he inspired a nation with sponsored walk around his garden. Hoping to raise £1000 for the NHS he managed to raise over £12 MILLION pounds to help our NHS - that, to me, deserves an honour!
To reflect his amazing accomplishment - something men a lot younger than him have never thought of yet alone accomplished - he should be added to the Queen's Honours list for his inspiring behaviour and achievement

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We know lots of people want to petition for Colonel Moore to receive an honour, but the Government will only accept individual nominations, not petitions, so we can’t publish your petition.
