farmers to give unskilled manual labor jobs to people currently living in the UK
Rejected

What the petition asks
We would like the government to step in and make it commercially viable for all concerned to encourage more low skilled manual labor jobs on farms to go to people who are already living in the uk.
Because it will have an effect on our economy and in trying times that we are in we think any low skilled manual labor jobs in the uk should go to it’s willing people.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Recruitment decisions are the responsibility of employers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition asking for the UK Government to restrict unskilled worker visas for farm jobs, to subsidise UK workers on farms, or ask the Government to conduct a review into the uptake of low skilled jobs on farms by UK residents, if that's what you'd like to happen.
