What the petition asks
We are calling on the Government to set up a working party to consolidate and co-ordinate efforts with the garment industry and fabric supply chain to deliver PPE to the NHS, care homes and auxiliary workers
The garment industry wants to share its knowledge and skills to assist in delivering the quality and quantity required in this time of national emergency.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started your petition the Government has announced business partnerships with a number of companies, including those in the garment industry, to produce additional PPE: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/millions-more-items-of-ppe-for-frontline-staff-from-new-business-partnerships
