Open schools to our children during the 2020-2021, 6 week Summer Holidays.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Direct teachers to open all schools during the summer holidays to continue with the curriculum and education that many of our children have lost out on during the Covid-19 lockdown so that the next generation are not at a disadvantage to other children.
Opening schools during the summer holidays of 2020-2021 will assist to:
- allow teachers to fulfil a moral and professional obligation to support children who have lost out on recent education.
- allow families negatively impacted financially by the crisis, to avoid the extra cost of holiday clubs.
- allow the British workforce to work FT during the summer to rebuild our economy.
- allow our health workers to maintain the NHS and have time for personal recovery while children are safe in school.
