What the petition asks
Allocate an extra 5 days annual leave to NHS staff for just this year.
The NHS has supported the nation like its armed forces through the pandemic and deserve to have time off once the pandemic is over. This is to say thank you to all NHS staff and allow the staff to relieve the stress they are going through at the moment for the nation.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The NHS are responsible for decisions about annual leave, not the UK Government or Parliament.
