STOP large gatherings of NHS Clapping

What the petition asks

We need this madness to stop and only allow the appreciation clapping from peoples homes.

Every Thursday night hundreds of the public gather round local hospitals clapping including NURSES , DOCTORS, and the POLICE all in FULL uniforms squashed up amongst the crowds. NO social Distance and NO INFECTION CONTROL! We are told to stay home, save the NHS. when infact the NHS are participation in this madness in full uniforms . this is not a good way to lead. The police who are suppose to be dispersing rather Gathering are also in amongst those crowds. we can do this from HOME

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

It is currently illegal for people to gather in groups of 30 or more, and the police have the power to disperse any gatherings over this size: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do-after-4-july.

In any case, since you started your petition the NHS Clap for Carers has largely stopped.
