That Government give consideration to renaming the NHS to the Royal NHS. .

What the petition asks
Regarding the above petition I have no doubt that the public would welcome the change suggested. I hope that this petition can be considered and published on the site.
May I reiterate the comments in sections one and two this form.
In section 1 I mention that the change suggested would require her Majesty the Queen to sanction use the prefix Royal , I have no doubt that permission would be readily forthcoming.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The title ‘Royal’ is a privilege granted by the Queen and not by the Government or Parliament.
You could start a petition calling on the Government to recommend to Her Majesty that she grant the title "Royal" to the NHS.
