Provide prison officers with PPE to help protect them against Covid19.

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Prison officers have to work in close proximity to hundreds of prisoners and are unable to practice social distancing for practical reasons.
Please ensure prison officers are provided with PPE to protect them against Covid19.
Prison officers have no choice but to go to work to ensure prisoners’ safety and enforce the lawful prison sentences the inmates have been given. The prisoners have no concern regarding the health and welfare of prison officers therefore prison officers are arguably at more risk than health care professionals so they deserve at least the same provision of PPE as health care workers.
