Allow golf courses to reopen.

What the petition asks
Allow golf courses to reopen during the covid-19 lockdown.
This will help promote exercise and good mental health in all participants, the majority of which are middle aged or elderly.
By it’s nature, golf maintains government distancing measures and touch points are reduced by the normal wearing of golf gloves.
As this is played outdoors and will be during the summer months, transmission of the virus should be minimal.

Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Since you started your petition the Government has announced that golf courses in England can re-open.
