Exclude companies that are registered in tax havens from any corona bailouts

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

The Danish & Polish governments have decided that companies registered in tax havens, pay out dividends, or buy back shares will not be eligible for corona bailout funding. The UK government should follow suit and restrict financial support to companies that have paid their fair share of UK taxes.
Tax havens have allowed multinational companies to avoid paying a fair tax rate for years, leading to smaller tax revenues and contributing to the underfunding of the NHS. An obvious consequence of this business decision should be that these companies should not be allowed to receive bailouts during this time of crisis. Financial aid should be channelled to those that have paid their fair share of UK tax revenue. This would save billions and encourage companies to avoid tax havens in the future.
