What the petition asks

Parliament should immediately pass laws preventing any company with offshore tax arrangements from being subsidised by UK taxpayers during this crisis. Plus an 'amnesty' should be granted so a company or individual can repatriate funds from a tax haven and pay a preferential tax rate on the wealth

This crisis has brought into sharp relief the egregious nature of tax havens: so-called sovereign countries that exist as pure cheat vehicles for the super-rich. On behalf of the whole world, these countries must be encouraged to shut down their banking and offshoring industries and be given assistance to diversify their economies

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
