Install a permanent monument celebrating the NHS on the 4th plinth.

What the petition asks
The 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square has never had a permanent monument install. Parliament should commission and install on the 4th plinth, a new permanent monument dedicated to and celebrating the National Health Service and everyone who works in it.
Our National Health Service is the jewel in the crown of Great Britian. It is the envy of countries across the globe. The people who work within the NHS and at times, lay down their lives to help & protect the lives of others for no Financial gain to themselves should be recognised. I believe there should be a place of recognition for the NHS and all the good it does on a daily basis.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about what is displayed on Trafalgar Square is a matter for the Mayor of London and London Assembly, not the Government or House of Commons.
