What the petition asks

we want the government to get ahead of this virus by having a purpose built facility built and ready to mass produce the vaccine once a vaccine has been identified and safe to use allowing this to be available to every citizen of the UK without delay.

To pass this through government and have the facilities ready for mass production for every citizen of the United kingdom once approved and not made available to other countries till we have enough vaccines for every person in the United kingdom and members of the British Isles

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Since this petition was started, the Government has provided funding for a new Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre. The Government said that when completed, the centre "will have have capacity to produce enough vaccine doses to serve the entire UK population in as little as six months."
