What the petition asks
The 2008 Climate Change Act states that there must be a reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 100% from the 1990 levels by 2050. this time scale is to long as the damage from climate change will be irreversible by this date.
Bringing forward the deadline to 2030 would force the government to create change.
