Abolish tuition fees for student/trainee nurses.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Student nurses are working front line in the treatment of Covid 19 patients, at personal risk to themselves, and are expected to pay tuition fees even when working on wards. At present, due to the crisis, trainee nurses are spending 80% of their time on wards.
The government is helping individual citizens and businesses to cope during this pandemic. Much is being made of front line NHS staff, but the role played by trainee nurses is being ignored. Many of them are still in their teens, but are expected to work long hours unpaid, and are witnessing horrific suffering and death on Covid 19 wards.
