Ensure compliance with Package Travel Regulations 2018 by all travel agents
Rejected

What the petition asks
Travel companies around the country are failing to abide by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Whilst these are extraordinary times, people shouldn't be left out of pocket when they're owed thousands, and the Governnent should be enforcing the regulations fully.
Travel companies are failing, or refusing, to provide refunds within 14 days, in line with Section 14(3) of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Whether its tens of pounds or tens of thousands, companies are legally obliged to follow the regulations in place, or compensate when this cannot be achieved. We, the signatories of this petition, call on HM Governnent to ensure these rules are fully enforced in their entirety.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Arrangements for refunding, changing or rebooking travel are a civil matter between individual travellers and airlines or travel agents, not the Government or Parliament.
